Churches in North Waco¶
North Waco's faith community reflects the neighborhood's diverse and long-tenured residential character. Baptist and evangelical congregations are the most numerous, reflecting the broader Central Texas Protestant tradition. St. Louis Catholic Church anchors the area's Catholic community with both a parish and an attached K–8 school.

Note: North Waco contains numerous Baptist congregations — many with decades of history in the neighborhood — that do not maintain a significant public web presence. The list above reflects verifiable data; a more complete survey would require direct community engagement.
Independent Evangelical and Non-Denominational¶
Living Way Church - Location: North Waco area - Denomination: Independent evangelical / non-denominational
Note: The north side of Waco, like many urban neighborhoods in Central Texas, hosts a significant number of smaller storefront evangelical, Pentecostal, and independent congregations. A thorough church census for North Waco would benefit from on-the-ground research during a visit.
Church Planting Context¶
North Waco represents a neighborhood with genuine unmet spiritual need alongside existing but often under-resourced local congregations. The neighborhood's mix of long-tenured working-class families, younger renters, and a racially diverse population (Black, Hispanic, and White) creates a context where a gospel-centered, cross-cultural church plant would have significant opportunity. The area does not have the density of established evangelical churches seen in the western suburbs.
